I forgot how tricky Othello really is.  Just when you think you are about to win, your oponent can dramatically turn the tables.

I made both white and black versions of the game board and all of their associated tiles, markers, and puzzle pieces. Aside from the colours, both versions are the same.  I think I prefer the black set.

Each set has 36 double-sided engraved and painted ‘zen’ pattern tiles (plus a few extras) for making literally thousands of symmetrical patterns, and presumably several thousand more non-symmetrical patterns.

The ‘Scrabble’ side of the board features a small edge to perfectly lock in all the zen tiles.
The opposite side of the board includes a very small raised dot in the middle and this provides just enough extra height in the centre to enable the whole board to easily rotate around that point: making it easy for game players to turn the board and see words the ‘right way up’.
